And “Panache” is also a series of videos to inspire you when you “have nothing left to wear”. ? The objective? Let people say that you have panache!
The principle of the videos is simple: each month, we choose an item of clothing and I offer you different outfit ideas with it . Here is the list of what you can see now:

So enjoy!
I was told that it was rare for a man to go through life without ever owning a denim jacket. I let myself say it. However, that doesn't mean it's true.
Those who have one, raise your hand.
🙋♂️
I bet that's a whole lot of hands in the air. And among you, there are also film actors such as Martin Sheen in "Badlands" (1973).
And then there is Judd Nelson in The Beakfast Club, Michael J. Fox in Back to the Future 2, Ryan Gosling in Drive, Tom Cruise in The Outsiders, more recently Brad Pitt in Once Upon a Time... In Hollywood and many others.
Yes but you. You are all that matters. How are you going to wear this denim jacket in the wonderful feature film that is your existence? Are you going to wear it often, like a dog, to wear it to the limit and wear it out again? Or wear it shyly, from time to time when you feel it?
Never mind. In this video (just above this article), there is something for everyone with these six different outfit ideas that I offer you.
Some tips for wearing it well
1. Types of Jackets You Should Own
In my opinion, only two denim jackets are necessary if you want to live the experience to the fullest: one raw and one with a light patina . It allows you to do everything.
When your pants are dark, you put on the light ones and when they are light you put on the dark ones. It's easy. It allows you to be able to give in to a desire for denim no matter how you are dressed.
2. No need to go for complicated outfits
With a raw denim jacket with character, it's easy to be well dressed. If it is well chosen, that is to say with interesting denim, which has a particular grain, a nice deep color and a nice shape, you don't need much:
- A chino
- A white t-shirt
- White sneakers
Well, that being said, I show in the video how to go a little further to obtain a more unique and personal outfit.
3. Wear the Canadian tuxedo
The Canadian costume is to wear a denim top and denim bottoms. But it's difficult to wear it like Martin Sheen in "Badlands" in a suit, that is, a top and bottom of the same fabric and shade.
It will be wiser to go out into the streets of our cities to vary the shades:
- If you're wearing a light patina denim jacket, wear raw jeans on the bottom.
- If you're wearing a raw denim jacket, wear jeans with a light patina.
And for the rest, keep it simple: a white t-shirt and sneakers or boots if you want to go Western.
And if something pushes you to go further like me and you are wondering how to do it, you have the answers to your questions in the video.
4. Wear the denim jacket like a cardigan
There is a technique that may seem completely absurd the first time you hear about it, but the moment you get started with it, it becomes natural. It even becomes a personal gimmick .
It is to wear the denim jacket as an intermediate layer between a base layer (a t-shirt for example or a shirt) and a top layer (a raincoat, a coat).
In addition to bringing you warmth for the cold seasons, it gives a real something to your outfit in that it makes it stand out. You brought a touch of texture and the unexpected.
Look how here, it allows you to bring a zest of originality to an outfit which, without it, would be a little dull.
5. Wear a denim jacket with a hoodie
No honestly, it's the magical association. The hood of the hoodie will sit nicely on your shoulders and draw a circle around your neck. Like a halo that had slipped.
In the video, I'm not wearing a colorful hoodie but this is the time to do so because the denim jacket, if chosen sober (which you should always do!) highlights without exacerbating. So you can wear color without difficulty.
I spotted these hoodies:
- Warehouse at Jinji
- Lady White & Co. at Rendez-vous Store
6. The denim jacket with white pants
Let's say you're late for an appointment. You are still naked in front of your mirror. If the season permits, I suggest:
- Light patina denim jacket
- Off-white jeans or pants
- Gray t-shirt
- Black or brown moccasins or navy blue or anthracite sneakers and head to your appointment.
