Our opinion
At Converse, we especially recommend classic sneakers such as the Chuck Taylor all star (low and top) or the Jack Purcell. Suitable for summer and mid-season, these models will easily fit into your casual, streetwear, or even workwear outfits. However, be careful with models that are too fanciful, which can quickly lead to a style error. Especially since they are not all in good taste. As for quality, don't expect a durable pair. The sole is glued, and holes will quickly appear if you don't take care of your pair. However, if worn well, their wear will give character and personality to your style. Due to the notoriety and image of the brand, the prices are high and do not reflect the quality of the pairs. So remember to prioritize promotional periods. Ready-to-wear doesn't have much interesting to offer, since it's not the brand's specialty. Sometimes you'll come across a well-made piece, but overall you'll find better elsewhere.
The history of the brand Converse

Founded in 1908 by Marquis Mills in Massachusetts, Converse was originally a brand of sneakers with rubber soles. The brand is now extending its offering to ready-to-wear and accessories, whether for women, men or children.

Famous for its commercial partnership with basketball player Chuck Taylor, the brand added its name to the logo in 1932. The latter is placed at the ankle of the iconic Chuck Taylor All Star model. The brand is also renowned for having dressed the feet of celebrities such as James Dean, Elvis Presley, and Kurt Cobain.

In 2003, the company was bought by the Nike group, relaunching its activity and its turnover to exceed 2 billion dollars in 2017.

You will find Converse all over the world: the brand's e-shop, its own boutiques, multi-brand stores and websites.
