Made in France is a criterion of choice that is important for a certain number of you who read us.
In this article, I offer you a list of brands
We also talked about made in France in the following content:
Ready to wear
1. Surveyor
A very beautiful high-end French workwear brand.
"Beautiful materials and French manufacturing combined with low production volumes inevitably result in a significant selling price. [...]
The label deliberately remains in the shadows but it is possible to find products on sale at very attractive prices, so keep an eye out!”
2. Atelier Bertrand
The brand is mainly known for its luxury quality leather jackets starting at €1000 (where a similar product costs several thousand euros elsewhere).
You will also find some leather goods accessories (belts, card holders).
A complete test of the brand was carried out by Nicolò .
3. Paname Blue
Another French workwear brand, created in 2009. You will find work jackets, cargo pants, parkas, thick flannel shirts, etc. there.
The brand has a denser collection and is more widely distributed than Arpenteur.
The entire collection is not made in France and the brand unfortunately does not say the country of manufacture on each product page. It's a shame.
4. Good workmanship
A beautiful French brand, in a relaxed and chic style, with careful work on the style and the cuts.
De Bonne Facture mainly uses high-end Italian and Japanese materials and works with French workshops specializing in the manufacture of high-end clothing.
The prices are accordingly, and a little lower during sales periods, whether on their e-shop or at distributors.
The entire collection is no longer made in France, as was the case at the start of the brand: certain knits are now made in Italy, for example. The brand clearly indicates this information on its product sheets.
5. Fyu Paris
Fyu is a small, fairly confidential Parisian brand that makes shirts in France in beautiful textured fabrics, at a reasonable price for this level of quality/style/making.
6. Laetitia Modeste
A young brand created in 2018 which offers creations made in France with French fabrics.
The collection is currently made up of a few coats, a sweater and a hat.
A beautiful approach, with beautiful materials and some bold style choices.
I presented the brand's long coat in this article .
7. Cornichon House
Maison Cornichon offers t-shirts and sweatshirts made in France on vintage knitting machines dating from the 1950s, giving cachet and character to the pieces in their collection.
8. Tower Knitting
Tricot de la Tour is a French knitted clothing workshop that has its own brand: Moulin Neuf.
Nicolò presented four t-shirts from the brand in its nuggets .
Due to its brand/workshop status, the prices are very accessible.
9. Vetra
Brand created in 1927 and which offers work jackets
Jeans
1. Norman Venice Workshop (AVN)
AVN offers jeans made in Normandy from fabrics from the Italian spinner Candiani, from whom we source certain fabrics for our jeans and whose factory we visited .
3 fits (fitted, semi-fitted, straight) and 2 colors (raw blue, black).
The brand also offers some ready-to-wear clothing (shirts, t-shirts, sweatshirts), also made in France.
2. Tuffery Workshop
A brand of jeans made in France that we tested in 2015 , the range of jeans has since expanded, with the creation of more high-end models.
The brand has also developed some more original jeans, including a model in 100% hemp and another 55% cotton / 45% wool (French):
3. Dao Davy
Dao is the brand of one person, Davy Dao, who created his own jeans making workshop in Nancy.
“ After several years of research and successful crowdfunding, the brand has developed and refined its offering while remaining on a human scale.
Today, Dao makes artisan quality jeans in front of passers-by in his shop in Nancy. The brand demonstrates transparency on its products and offers a lot of content to inform consumers: clothing care, ethics, environmental impact, interviews, etc.... "
Michel had the opportunity to present to you a pair of jeans from the brand, in linen
Shoes
1. Heschung
Brand founded in 1934 and initially specialized in work shoes, Heschung is today a brand recognized for its reliable and robust shoes.
The brand produces certain pairs in France, some in Hungary.
If you are interested in a pair, we invite you to contact the brand to find out where it is made.
Jordan gave a more detailed review of Heschung in this article .
2.Jacques&Démeter
"If you want to buy Made in France, buy Jacques & Déméter. It's well made, it's beautiful, it's durable. The leather is full grain aniline, the GoodYear, Blake or Norwegian fittings (depending on the model , use and desired aesthetic) and the leathers come from the tannery of Puy and Annonay.
It's worth its price. This does not exempt you from looking closely at the leathers and being critical, but even in this case, the customer service is attentive, available and honest."
Don't hesitate to take a look at the Jacques&Déméter blog (run by Maxime, the founder of the brand) if you want to learn more about the world of shoes.
I encourage you in particular to read the article on walking folds, which deconstructs many clichés at this level
3. JM Weston
Weston is legendary in France and around the world. We must pay tribute to the golf models, 180 moccasin, half-hunt, hunting, triple sole and the famous Cambre ankle boot (made from a single piece of leather) [...]
It is also a brand that does not rest on its laurels and does not hesitate to revitalize its legendary models by reinventing them: I am thinking, for example, of the 180 moccasin available in Klein blue and a number of other things.[... ]
Weston's great strength is to offer its models in several shapes. [...]
Some voices have recently been raised to denounce the decline in quality of the brand. We, at BonneGueule, have not actually had this experience and salute this century-old brand with remarkable know-how.
4. Kleman
A brand created in 1988 and specialized in work shoes, Kleman offers a collection of shoes made in France with fairly raw, workwear shapes.
If you are wondering about the prices, they can be partly explained by the fact that the shoes are glued (no GoodYear or Norwegian stitching here) as well as the use of leather which is not very high-end.
5. Paraboot
" Beautiful know-how from this French brand which manufactures in France with French leathers (for the most part) . There are no rectified leathers at Paraboot: no synthetic coating on the leathers to hide defects.
The finishes are beautiful and the assembly solid, in short, durable shoes. "
Indeed, I have seen certain pairs made in Spain , boat shoes in particular.
Accessories
1. Archduchess
We mainly appreciate Archiduchesse for its range of socks: the choice of colors is extremely vast, and you will easily find the model that suits your use or your preferences. [...]
Made in France, the remeshing is well executed and gives the socks good hold. [...] The Oeko Tex certification of cotton (without substances harmful to the skin or the environment) is also a good thing. [...]
As for their prices, it is quite reasonable given the quality of manufacture and the place of manufacture.
The brand also offers socks and tights for women.
2. Private Workshop
The brand mainly offers accessories (belts, gloves, scarves, card holders, etc.), basic but not too much, in pretty materials and all at fairly low prices.
The country of manufacture is clearly stipulated on each product sheet.
3. Heating Blue
The brand offers very beautiful bags made in France in leather and/or cotton canvas, with an adventurer spirit.
The leather is of excellent quality and ages very well , it will develop a patina with use and become truly unique.
Bleu de Chauffe also offers leather accessories (belts, wallets, etc.).
4. Leon Flam
If you want bags or accessories made in France with a slightly more urban, chic style.
5. Missingle
The brand was presented to you with a pair of socks by Michel here .
Missegle offers a selection of underwear made in France in many natural fibers (merino wool, silk, yak, cashmere, etc.).
