Everyone talks about Made in France, without necessarily knowing the reality behind it. In the same vein as Geoffrey's article, I decided to give you my opinion on a subject that is much more complex than it seems.
For those who have been following BonneGueule for a while, you know that more than the place of manufacture, what matters to us is the know-how. This is why we have Portuguese, Romanian, Italian manufacturing, etc.
Some people nevertheless ask us why we don't make all our clothes in France, although we source our wool from Jules Tournier and we have widely highlighted its know-how .
We almost come to criticize French brands for not systematically focusing on made in France.
I regret that the treatment of made in France is most of the time very binary ("made in France is necessarily good, and the rest is the third world") and which is sorely lacking in nuance.
Not everything is black, not everything is white, and as usual in life, the truth is somewhere in between.
But why is this the case?
Why at BonneGueule are we not fanatics of made in France?
What are the limits, on the brand side and above all,
What are the advantages of manufacturing in France? And above all, what French brands do I recommend?
