--------------------------
VIRAL stands for Iconic Clothing that Tells the Story of Legendary America .
Yes, we racked our brains.
This format, brand new and beautiful, was designed to tell you (in a somewhat personal way I agree) the stories of the mythical clothes of America , the ones that everyone wears all the time, unaware of having on their back a piece of history .
I chose to break the chain and leave the BonneGueule showroom. For a few days, I established an HQ, with Louis who shoots our videos, somewhere in the flea market of Saint-Ouen, in the north of Paris. What more logical place to talk to you about clothes with a story than an antique district?
In this second episode, I tell you the lovely story of the sweatshirt, or sweatshirt as they say. Except it has to be said. It's sweatshirt. Not sweatshirt. No sweatshirt. So. Now that that's clear, we can move on.
The sweatshirt is, in itself, a whole section of American clothing culture at the same time as a symbol: there's Steve McQueen in it and all the who's who of Hollywood with him. And even if, today, we wear it less to play sports than to look cool, one thing is certain: it is timeless . A bit like the Big Mac.
Moreover, if some still use it as a casual piece reserved for moments of relaxation or physical activity, others, the youngest, wear it to go to class, meet friends, in short, live their life!
The big question behind this video is: how did we go from simple sportswear to an everyday top? IM asking you. You do not know ? Well it's in the video right there. Practical.
I wear :
Short-sleeved sweatshirt: Black Flag
Vintage escape scarf: Brut Clothing
Watch: Lip
Jean: General Office
