According to a survey carried out by The Fake Survey Agency and dated November 36, 2020, 94.5% of people think that there is no longer a season.
And frankly, how can you prove them wrong?
We have to face the facts: the official dates of the seasons no longer work! However, this consensus between nature and humans on the definition of precise dates for changing seasons was very practical.
“At least in the past, we knew how to dance,” says Mr. P., who looks forward to making hot chocolate for his grandchildren.
It's true.
Before, as soon as September 22 came, the leaves would die instantly. And temperatures fell until they reached values equal to those of spring, thus forming a smooth transition between the hot season (summer) and the cold season (winter).
“But still not quite the same as in spring!”, adds Mr. P. to the Fake Survey Agency. “Everyone knows that you can stay outside in a t-shirt at 16 degrees in spring, but at 16 degrees in autumn, on the other hand, you have to wear a sweater.”
What good sense, this Mr. P. And he made me want to be in autumn.
So, without transition, I'm sharing with you everything I'm excited to wear this fall, when it comes!
A raincoat with personality
Yes Benoît, it’s true. It's always nice to be able to pull out the right clothing in response to the weather. But if we're going to do it, then let's do it in style.
I want length, fullness, movement in my raincoat. I find it so much more beautiful. We don't see that much anymore in the street, the guy at the corner of a street who sprays you with his rain coat.
We more often see women who dare to wear a bold coat, a bright color, a pattern, a very long coat and who go from puddle to puddle jumping towards their future. I like it. It's a way to make your life more poetic.
I already have my Bastong which does more than the job. I also have a Norwegian Rain, spectacular. So I don't need more. But, for fun, I will get others over time, like this one on Beige Habilleur :
Midweight cardigans with personality
Yes, we can say that Country of Origin caught my eye. Just a little over budget. Just a little bit .
This is perfectly how it should be worn in my humble opinion. With brown velvet and a white t-shirt. On your feet, high-top white Converse or if you want a touch of sophistication, eggplant loafers (you see me coming now). It also works with eggplant derbies.
I have a fixation on eggplant in general (nothing to do with the emoji) but here it's to make a discreet reminder with the purple of the sweater.
At Beams + too, there's always something to eat.
Sleeveless jackets
There, it's a bit: a Rocky Mountain Featherbed or nothing . Sorry to be so categorical but if I have to wear a sleeveless jacket, this will be it. Not necessarily in yellow, even that really stimulates me.
The problem, as is often the case, is that it is not given. Far from there. So fall after fall, I postpone its purchase. From time to time, it appears on Vinted but I always have a priority which is not that. Like buying milk for my daughter for example. I can't wait for this one to be autonomous.
Very thick cotton flannel shirts
You can find quite a few shirts like this at thrift stores. There are in particular the Chamois Shirt from LL Bean as well as Woolrich , Pendleton or RRL .
It’s incredibly comfortable! And I don't use that adjective often. To wear it, I see two sides: heritage or streetstyle.
Heritage would be something like: henley, raw jeans and boots.
Streetstyle would be more... well as presented by Noah in the photo above.
Purple, mauve or eggplant
I saw it in David's Twitch .
And it reminded me how much I loved this color halfway between red and blue. It’s a superb shade that becomes even richer when combined with blue or green!
There's also a lot to do with browns and grays.
Basically do something like this:
Rolalala, how beautiful! It's a largely underrated shade and yet it's very effective when worn well. See instead what Chair Bleue does with it:
Bright velvets!
Autumn is the ultimate velvet season. But as long as you wear them, you might as well go for bright shades, in browns for example, which tend towards yellow or even orange.
Like these pants by Aaron Levine for Aimé Leon Dore . He wears a lot of purple by the way. Coincidence? Yes, but that's no reason to be grumpy.
1250€ for this Drake's costume.
Are they worth it? Of course not !
But that's not the important thing here. It's just for the eyes. And, even if it wouldn't suit me, unless I tan heavily and lastingly, I still find myself dreaming of one day owning a similar corduroy suit.
Not to wear it like the model, I specify, a little too English golden youth.
