Inspiration: how to wear jogging pants?
Fortunately, jogging pants aren't just worn with a T-shirt!
In fact, it will look particularly good with tailored pieces. I know, it's not a combination that comes to mind spontaneously. But you'll see, the union of the two styles can be interesting...
Let's change the mood! Given its origins, a pair of jogpants will always be associated with the queen of casual materials : denim.
For a change from the denim jacket, try a bomber or a Harrington . The result will be just as effective.
If you've been following along, you've noticed that all the examples in this article are based on more or less fitted joggers. But what happens if we opt for an oversized model?
The shopping corner
Let's move on to the selection!
- Suitsupply : for the mid-range budget, the brand offers a striped and dressy version with pleats, in a fairly classic Vitale Barberis fabric. There is also an off-white summer model in cotton and linen, which is more intended to be the equivalent of a chino.
- Wings + Horns : for the more adventurous among you, and in a higher price range, the Wings + Horns brand offers military-style jog pants, in a sturdy olive-colored cotton/linen.
- a more casual and quite wintery model , the high-end brand dedicated to "Made In France" offers a looser but more luxurious vision, in thick Italian wool flannel.
- a more faithful version of the classic jogging. We could rather speak of "sweatpants" to distinguish it from more fashionable pieces. Note the cut which remains worked, in particular with a very marked tapering on the ankles.
- the “Lay Pant” , whose work focuses more on color and the small pocket detail.
- Velva Sheen : Still in the vein of "beautiful jogging", there is obviously the Viper Pant from the Velva Sheen brand, known for its fleeces and jerseys, especially on tees and sweatshirts.
The final word...
Like many pieces of this genre, the jogpant has been modernized to become an everyday garment.
To start, choose it with a fitted leg (or ribbed hem), to get rid of its overly sportswear image. More and more materials are also available, from traditional fleece to mottled wool.
Don't hesitate to wear it in varying styles: it's a versatile piece that creates beautiful contrasts, particularly with dressy looks.
If you want to go for a more daring look, there's nothing stopping you from trying a foray into the world of oversized or even patterned joggers.
Besides, it's up to you to play!
