It's a country so shrouded in mystery when you love men's fashion. Its reputation is undeniable when it comes to creating fabrics like chambray or the famous selvedge denim. Not to mention its designers, who take men's fashion into a talented mix of traditions, preppy, techwear, streetwear and even workwear.

So we decided to taste the great Japanese thrill, since we were able to visit our suppliers (and bring back lots of images of -very- old looms), meet Japanese designers, and even walked the streets of Tokyo in search of cutting-edge boutiques.

Here is a series of three episodes which retraces this journey:

And we start with Tokyo, this mythical city for European men's fashion lovers, where there is the greatest concentration of quality boutiques.

We go to Studio D'Artisan, the replica fetish brand, to Kuro, this contemporary brand specializing in faded selvedge. And there, we meet Anis, a reader who is a total fan of the legendary Visvim brand.

I founded BonneGueule.fr in 2007. Since then, I have been helping men build their style by providing them with clear and practical advice, but also more advanced thinking. I also like techwear, Japanese materials, sports and tea.
