One parka, two colors, five men, a multitude of styles . At BonneGueule, we all love clothing - but everyone has their own vision and their own interpretation. That's why we wanted to have fun with our Nusco parka , available now.
We therefore challenged several members of the BonneGueule team: to create a look of their own , with the same parka. We still gave them the freedom to choose between the olive green color and the cognac - we're nice.
Benoît, Kilian, Antoine, Romain and Michel took on this challenge brilliantly - proof, if any were needed, that in addition to crossing the four seasons, this parka also crosses styles. We'll let you discover the photos and details of their outfits below... and tell us your favorite look in the comments?
1 - Benoît, urban casual and touch of elegance
"At the top, I went with the Livigno sweater from BonneGueule. To begin with, I love its texture . Then, in my opinion, it has a perfect weight which offers great thermal range: it is neither a thin sweater nor a average sweater, and it protects the throat very well when it's cold .
I love wearing parkas with turtlenecks. In terms of layering and heat management, it's really nice to combine parka (unlined), sweater and t-shirt in merino wool (a BonneGueule too, which you can't see in the photo but which I door under the Livigno).
My white jeans were custom made by Atelier Mesure - they notably have my initials. For the record, the fabric of these jeans is a selvedge fabric that was given to me by Candiani , a factory with whom we have worked quite a bit and which gave me this gift after a report. At the moment, I'm really in my white jean period: it brightens up an outfit, and it's a very beautiful piece that few men dare to wear.
With it, I wear a cobra belt from Klik Belts. You know my love for the cobra belt, and I find that in this outfit, this accessory adds a little touch of unexpected, grain of madness, surprise ... It's an intriguing piece that I love to use in my looks - it's also very comfortable.
Finally, the shoes are Alden in cordovan . It's a "modified last" pair, a modified shape which is very difficult to find in Europe and which I bought in New York. They are super comfortable.
“On this outfit, I really wanted to vary the textures with the denim of the jeans, the smooth side of the leather of the shoes, the more grainy appearance of the sweater and the slightly vintage effect of the parka.
I also wanted to play with light shades , because that's what I like to wear in winter. I also find that it adds an elegant side. In terms of colors , you can't say that I'm taking a lot of risks by combining olive green, gray and white... but it's a palette that is timeless , that goes with everything and that isn't headlock.
I would define this style as urban casual. My shoes are a bit dressy : I can go to a nice hotel bar in them, but they are comfortable enough to walk in them all afternoon. The white jeans add a touch of elegance and the more casual parka brings contrast. However, there is a real harmony between the pieces."
2 - Kilian, urban minimalism
"Apart from the parka that I'm wearing in cognac, I chose to go with a black look just to go a little outside of what BonneGueule usually offers . As many people know, our co-founder Benoît doesn't like black . .. so I wanted to challenge all that a little!
To start, I'm wearing a black Robert Mackie beanie - a great brand that's been around since 1845 and is made in Scotland. This one is made of wool and angora: only natural and very breathable materials as we like.
Upstairs, I'm wearing a COS sweater that I like because it's a little loose without being too baggy. Underneath, I slipped a BonneGueule shirt, the sky blue Jodoga model. It creates small touches of contrast between the two black pieces at the top and bottom.
At the bottom, I also wore fairly wide black pleated pants, which fit well with the volume of the sweater . It's from Olive Clothing but I found it second hand on Vinted."
"As for shoes, I have a pair of Paraboots that I love: the Michael model. And besides, I assume that brown goes with everything and even with black . I wear them with BonneGueule socks in merino wool, the Félix.
Final touch: a pair of NOST glasses, a small independent brand from Lyon.
With this look, I wanted to show that the parka is not just an outdoor piece : it can also be worn in a more minimalist, dressy and urban world."
3 - Antoine, volume and Japanese influences
"I'm wearing a Good Fight sweatshirt, a brand from Los Angeles. What I like about them is that there's always a little twist on the materials : here, for example, the interior is on the exterior, and vice versa. It is fluorescent yellow and I find that it enhances the color of the green parka very well.
At the bottom, I chose a pair of vintage cream white velvet pants found in a thrift store in Lyon in the women's section - they bring comfort, but I also find that they work very well with the parka in terms of colors and mix of textures .
On my feet, I wore black sneakers: it's a collaboration between Nike and Comme Des Garçons which dates from 2022, the Sunder model. As for accessories, I have a white La Perruque keychain necklace, and a vintage cap from JJJJound, a Montreal creative studio that I really like."
"It's a look clearly inspired by streetwear, with amplitude and volume . I wanted to take the Nusco parka onto a cooler, almost Japanese-style terrain, because that's personally how I see myself wearing it every day."
4 - Michel, the comfortable mini-layering
"For the top, I'm wearing our beige Milo overshirt and my ecru Uniqlo turtleneck sweater. It's a mini-layering of only two layers , but which has things to tell with the turtleneck which stands out nicely under the collar, and the color combo that works well since it's a gradient of the same range - it's a set that I wear very regularly.
For the bottom, I chose vintage Levi's white jeans, found at a thrift store . It helps lighten the outfit but also adds a little neutrality in the middle of the tones of beige and brown that accumulate. It allows the look to breathe a little. Beyond that, it is very wide, so comfortable too.
What I like about this outfit is the freedom of movement and comfort : I have stretchy knit, Milo jersey, wide jeans... and Saucony brand sneakers: I only wear this at the moment!
I think it's complicated to categorize this look in one and the same style because it's a mix of lots of things : the sneakers for the sportswear touch, the workwear shirt, the soft tailoring turtleneck... it There really is everything!”
“This is typically the kind of outfit I would wear to ride a bike - ok, wearing white jeans to ride might be counter-intuitive to some but me... I love getting it dirty!
Michel's style advice: "If a person wants to start experimenting with layering, you simply have to start with a light color as an interior base , and move towards a darker color towards the exterior . The easiest thing is to "is to work with color gradients: here I start from ecru to go with beige and finally the cognac of the parka".
5 - Romain, between casual and vintage
"I chose to wear the green parka. Underneath I have a simple base, with a classic white Uniqlo t-shirt that fits well, in a fairly heavy cotton. I accessorized it with a vintage cotton bandana Navy blue .
At the bottom, I went with beige oversized chinos. It's vintage, I found it for less than ten euros at Guerrisol, a thrift store in Paris. I love them, the cut is magnificent: they really are dream pants . Okay, and I have my keys hanging on my belt... because I lose them all the time.
On my feet, I wear a pair of brown Timberland boat shoes. I'm a huge fan of them, they're super comfortable ."
"And because I like to add quirky touches to my looks , I also wear a red cap from the Bud beer brand. This one gets people talking. So ok, it looks a little nice... but I I think that’s why I love him.
My look in a few words? A mix of streetwear, casual and vintage .
