Stan Ray offers this material in its "carpenter pant " shape, which is characterized by two patch pockets on the back of the thigh. The cut is carrot.

Mid-rise, straight fit.
I was able to get my hands on it. It's superb. I've never seen velvet pants with so much wool anywhere else.
