Hi, it's Nicolò and...
Yes, I made a video. Yes, it's brand new.
You may have noticed that I was absent from our YouTube channel for a good part of the summer. Already, in my last Sape m'en Cinq, I announced that this format was starting to tire me a little. And in the end, this episode 20 will have been the last!
It’s true that after more than four and a half years at BonneGueule, a lot of things have changed for me.
I still remember my very first videos: I was absolutely not used to the camera, and rather destabilized by this "baptism of fire" in video. Needless to say, I was already very happy when I managed to make something clean, so I didn't really ask myself the question of whether I liked my format or not!
And then time passed. I covered many subjects, I got used to the camera... My tastes evolved, my way of thinking too. The very structured exercise of Sape m'en Cinq no longer appealed to me.
I realized that to continue telling you about things that are close to my heart, I needed something that was a little more like me! However, I have always liked to debate and take opinions from the sidelines. Finding the little beast and making people think, that's what I like!
And thus Sapristi was born.
Gee, it will be two things:
First, we will start from questioning a common opinion on fashion, the fashion market, style, or clothing itself.
I will tackle the obvious that is not, the clichés that die hard, and the urban legends, and the myths perpetrated by neophytes and initiates alike!
Then, I will always offer you an alternative vision , a reading other than that of the doxa. . With advice, examples, references... Because we're also here to learn things, after all!
For this first episode, I'm going to challenge a widely held opinion, according to which folds in clothes are ugly.
The folds would look "sloppy", would be a sign of lower quality, incompatible with elegance, and not flattering for the wearer...
Well, I'd like to show you the opposite!
PS: I've been wanting to laugh a little more in my format for a long time. Sape m'en Cinq was more restrictive in its form, but there... We let ourselves go rather 😉
PPS: In this video, I'm wearing a Pike Brothers henley, a vintage bandana, Officine Générale pants, and Tricker's boots!
