The first pieces in our spring-summer collection are revealed in our lookbook.
And one of them stands out from the rest. This season's flagship piece, we are proud to welcome the return of the suede leather jacket with the Tucson in tobacco brown, available from Saturday February 21 at 9am, on our eshop and in our boutiques.
A characterful piece
This jacket has the same shape as our recently released khaki Tucson jacket in waxed cotton, and features:
- Four front patch pockets not found on more classic leather jackets, giving it visual presence. Note also the two low, angled patch pockets, into which your hands slip naturally.
- A luxurious double zip from Italian manufacturer Raccagni (as on the Mukka shearling), which guarantees impeccable glide in all circumstances and lets you play with the opening at the top and bottom to create a stylish effect.
- Three interior pockets to keep your belongings out of sight: one zipped pocket and two mesh pockets.
Supple, comfortable European suede leather
This suede leather is remarkably soft to the touch: your fingers glide delicately over its velvety surface. It's a bewitching, almost addictive touch, and you'll surely find yourself brushing against the jacket as you wear it.
Its rich tobacco-brown hue is warm and easy to match: we chose a medium brown shade, neither too dark nor too light.
The jacket's medium thickness (0.7 / 0.8cm) makes it soft and very comfortable. The feel is quite the opposite of the thick, stiff leathers we sometimes see. The Tucson is a jacket that's easy to live with, falls naturally on you and is almost forgotten once you've put it on.
Where many brands use leathers from Indian suppliers, where tanning conditions are not always exemplary, we were keen to work with a European partner. We found the perfect partner in J. R. Fontes & Filhos, who tans this leather in Portugal, under the supervision of the Leather Working Group (LWG).
The garments are also made by a partner workshop in Portugal, located in the Porto region and specializing in the manufacture of leather garments.
Edouard, our product designer, visited this workshop a few days ago and saw the Tucson being made. Here are a few behind-the-scenes photos of his visit:
How to wear it
This is a true 4-season jacket to be worn all year round.
It's easy to wear on sunny days, with a t-shirt or shirt.
In cooler weather, its intermediate thickness lets you wear it as a mid-layer, between a sweater and a coat.
Style-wise, it goes with everything: with a t-shirt, chino and sneakers, or with a shirt, jeans and loafers. It's up to you!
What's the fit like? What size should I choose?
The Tucson has a slightly straight cut, without excess : the shoulder is well defined to show off your build, and you have enough room in the chest to move around easily and do layering.
The length is classic for a jacket: it covers your hips and doesn't fall too low so as not to crush your figure.
We advise you to choose your usual size. If in doubt, don't hesitate to contact us on our networks ( Instagram, Youtube, Discord, mail a client@bonnegueule.fr or even Whatsapp) or come and try on the piece in one of our boutiques in Paris, Lyon or Bordeaux.
See the detailed size guide below:
A total of 200 units are available from this Saturday, February 21, and there will be no restocking.
This jacket is already loved from all the team for its warm color and balanced proportions that make you look good. We can't wait for you to get your hands on it, and hope you like it as much as we do!
