I like Scandinavian brands . Or rather, these brands like me.
In fact, I often come across a beautiful piece and realize afterwards that it comes from a Scandinavian brand.
It seems that I am quite sensitive to this vision of Nordic style offering quality clothing with fairly clean lines, even when there is a creative purpose.
I particularly appreciate the collections from Norse Projects or NN07 for example, two Danish brands that I have the opportunity to talk about regularly.
To restore a little balance, I chose to highlight Swedish and Norwegian brands in this selection.
5-pocket pants - Cavour
I discovered this brand on Instagram. I don't really know when or how anymore, to be honest.
Cavour is a Norwegian brand offering a rather dressy wardrobe.
It was towards pants that my eye naturally turned: I found the offer rich in terms of materials, colors and styles offered.
Here I selected a pair of sand-colored cotton 5-pocket pants. This 5-pocket shape is actually uncommon in ready-to-wear
The cut probably won't suit my good thighs but nevertheless seems well balanced for the majority of you: a medium rise, neither too high nor too low, and a fitted leg without excess.
Airy blazer - Granqvist Store
If I tell you that Granqvist is another brand that I discovered on Instagram, it won't surprise you too much, I imagine?
It's a brand that I'm more used to looking at for ties or shirts that I find successful, but for these nuggets I stopped at this jacket, which particularly speaks to me:
- It's unstructured, and as you know, I like unstructured jackets
- It is in Vitale Barberis Canonico cold wool. Having myself a pair of cold wool pants from this supplier, I find them light, very pleasant to wear, elegant and do not crease much.
- This jacket is green, and in a beautiful green as Benoît would like it I think
- In terms of details, I appreciate the well-proportioned lapels, the patch pockets and the 2.5 button shape
Definitely a good jacket, original but without overdoing it.
Ecru jacket - Our Legacy
I've been considering buying an ecru colored jacket for some time to add a little pep to my wardrobe while staying in a certain comfort zone: ecru is not too complicated a color to wear. to carry.
This Our Legacy model intrigued me first of all by its particular material: 51% cotton and 49% viscose .
As a reminder, viscose is not a synthetic material but an artificial one . It is a fluid, soft and breathable material. I imagine this jacket having a rather majestic drape, as opposed to a stiffer denim jacket with a cleaner drape.
This shape also intrigues me: it looks like a mix between a work jacket with its patch pockets and a trucker jacket with its short length and shirt collar.
The rectangular seam on each shoulder reminds me of the flap that is sometimes found on trench coats.
Our Legacy is a Swedish brand with a fairly strong style statement that can sometimes be divisive. Here, I find that there is a beautiful visual harmony .
Bonus: Tongue pad - Skolyx
What is this mysterious object, you ask me?
A hint: this little accessory is intended to help you if a shoe is a little too big .
So no, it is neither a sole (which is placed under your foot) nor an anti-slip pad (which goes at the heel), but a tongue pad .
I don't know how we could translate it into French, but I know that it attaches to the tongue of your shoe, like this:
This is the first time I've heard of this accessory and I think it's a pretty good idea.
It can be used if your shoe is too wide even with the laces tight, if you have a fairly thin foot for example.
This tongue pad can also be very useful for shoes that do not have any means of tightening. Yes, I'm thinking of moccasins , which are not easy to choose in the right size and shape.
I found this suede leather accessory (prettier and more durable than plastic) at Skolyx, a Swedish brand offering good value for money shoes.
