2 new caps to finish your outfits in style 🧢

It is 8am.

You are about to leave the house, to work, have a coffee or walk your ferret.

As you pass in front of the mirror, you tell yourself that you did well to combine this t-shirt with khaki Bermuda shorts.

But upon closer inspection, you feel that something is missing.

How about a cap?

We present to you Benjamin (left) and Ousmane (right), two members of our community who took part in the modeling game for a wonderful day.

Our first cap, to wear without worrying

In summer, when the heat reduces our outfits to a Bermuda shorts/t-shirt combo, we like to be able to accessorize.

This is where headgear comes in, the easiest to use is undoubtedly the cap.

To ensure that ours fulfills this mission correctly, we opted for a baseball cap:

  • A slightly rounded visor

  • An adjustment tab at the back

Once the tab is adjusted, you can insert it into the eyelet. No doubt better than us that day, we plead guilty.

Originally from sportswear, it is a casual interpretation.

Guaranteed without logo, it is sober and easy to combine.

Benjamin wears his cap with a BonneGueule t-shirt and Bermuda shorts. These parts will be available from Saturday.

Whether you are more casual, workwear, casual chic, streetwear, or sartorial with an adventurous spirit, it will work. In short, we can say that she wears several hats.

"On a daily basis, I rarely wear caps. But I found this one (the neppy blue) particularly light, its color is easy to match. Plus, it fits the shape of the head very well."

- Ousmane, journalist, dance enthusiast and member of the BonneGueule community for 3 years.

A sun shield?

When the sun comes out, a cap is definitely welcome on our heads.

However, it is important to remember that it only protects the front. When the rays hit hard for hours, don't just rely on your visor.

Put forward all the use for which we designed it: for the pleasure of decorating.

And for the pleasure of combining two shades of blue. Or three, if you count the sea.

This is a prevention message from the ministry in charge of clothing health, common sense and the good conscience of its author.

The manufacturing: demanding right down to the tip of the visor

For this first, we turned to a workshop founded 12 years ago in Portugal.

He specializes in headgear and his manufacturing method is 100 years old.

Boring but important information: on the visor, you will find stitching.

Each cap is assembled almost entirely by hand.

As progress remains a good thing, we still use a sewing machine.

The material: a look back at two favorites

This cap, it was obvious that we had to offer it to you like our other clothes: in a beautiful fabric that is worth the detour.

Finally, we offer you better than that: two fabrics that are worth the detour.

And if you are a connoisseur, they will bring back some memories for you.

#1: Snowy denim that will melt beautifully

denim cap

Remember: more than a year ago, at a small Japanese manufacturer, we found neppy denim with which we made a workwear suit.

So it's the same beautiful cotton canvas indigo, dotted with small white fibers on its surface. These white fibers, brought out during combing, are called "neps" for close friends.

Thus, we obtain the essential basic that is the denim cap, with a supplement that stimulates its aesthetic interest. So you will never confuse it with that of your friend. No need to write your name on the label with a bic pen.

But it is not finished.

Like all Japanese denim, the material will fade over time.

Get ready, because shades of indigo blue won't be the only ones to appear: our famous neps will also stand out slightly to beautify it.

#2: A vintage canvas before it is vintage

green cap made from Japanese material

If you're familiar with the material of our latest cargo pants, you already know everything.

Otherwise, follow the guide.

Here, you will find a clever blend of 85% cotton, 8% linen, and 7% ramie made by Shibaya, a century-old Japanese weaver and expert in the field.

Why so many different fibers? You are wise to ask us. Yes, yes, I heard you.

  • They bring a particular grain
  • They give a cute hand
  • They create a beautiful cardboard effect

That was the first step. Here is the second: a stone wash preceded by a dyeing method on crinkled fabric.

Our weaver didn't do all this just for fun:

  • It brings a vintage side, with an extremely light wash
  • Certain fibers stand out subtly and give roughness

As for the color, we stayed faithful to olive which, as with our cargo, recalls the adventurer spirit that we love on military clothing.
