Summary

Line 11 ) is one of the most successful in high-end men's ready-to-wear. The creations are conceptual, daring, even subversive, but always of quality.

2. LANVIN

The creations of this House are very different from those of Margiela. The jewelry there is often massive, precious, stylish and absolutely unique (production being very limited).

Each season brings a different approach (ethnic, baroque, futuristic inspirations...).

Here is a small selection of pieces from the Spring-Summer 2011 fashion show, a particularly striking former collection.

3. DIOR HOMME

Youth and rock are the credo of this French House. You will find leather bracelets, Union Jack necklaces or massive rings. The creations have strong connotations and will be perfect for any self-respecting Mick Jagger fan.

4. ROBERT GELLER

A label with a very cultural approach, it borrows its aesthetic from little-known folklore and subcultures from various regions of the world.

"Ethnic" some would say, but not in the classic sense of the term (no Maasai symbols or tribal motifs belonging to mass culture today, but Croatian religious festivals, civil wars in Eastern Europe or youth Californian).

5. CHRONICLES OF NEVER

Their creations, whether in clothing or accessories, are based on strict geometric shapes. The most beautiful examples are their necklaces cut from the mass (no welding points, a single piece).

7. CATHERINE MICHIELS (BY BENOÎT)

It’s a brand discovered somewhat by chance, unearthed by Benoît Carpentier of Marchand Drapier.

You should know that originally, I was not at all a fan of bracelets, but I wanted to get caught up in the game with these multiple colorful models in semi-precious stones, characteristic of the brand.

My Catherine Michiels bracelets and my Atame.

And as you could see in all the videos and photos, from day one, they never left my side, which is a pretty good sign!

In all seriousness, I've bathed and showered in them (more than once) and they hold up. Moreover, Catherine Michiels encourages her customers to never take off her bracelets, so that they truly become part of you. You should know that the designer was very influenced by her travels to India and the spirituality that results from them, hence this colorful and somewhat mystical design. And as she clearly states, these bracelets are made to be worn in groups, because for Catherine, it symbolizes the inner wealth of each person.

More concretely, I really appreciate the ingenious and simple closure system which adapts to all wrists, and the variety of color shades of the stones used. I love them so much that, in addition to my six bracelets that I wear together, I'm thinking about adding one or two more...

For more accessible alternatives, consider Orner and Caputo .

8. ANONYMOUS PARIS (BY BENOÎT)

In the type of hidden but very high-end accessory brand, Anonyme Paris does very well, offering small leather goods with simply perfect finishes.

And it was when I saw Vincent, the founder, that I was intrigued by a silver bracelet he was wearing. After he presented it to me in detail, I simply loved it. A very simple design, but with perfect proportions, and with the triangular shape which adds a great twist. Simple, but very beautiful, you had to think about it:

Note that it also offers a lot of choice in a very good file .

In addition to being more accessible, you also have Orner (them again) and Ursul .

9. HARPO

Harpo jewelry is distinguished by its very roots , very vintage American side. We quickly recognize Harpo jewelry with its turquoises, generally set in an aged silver ring.

The motifs represent Native American heads which evoke the conquest of the West.

Lino Ieluzzi, Alessando Squarzi and Johnyy Depp wear them very often, it gives a good idea of the world of these jewels with a strong personality.

10. ETSY

Etsy is simply a marketplace that lists handmade jewelry designers . You will find objects from all over the world, impossible not to find the necklace or ring of your dreams or corresponding to the desire of the moment.

11. ARTISANAL MEN’S JEWELRY

Indeed, the best for last. The authentic. Handmade jewelry, brought back from a trip, which cost nothing but is loaded with real value: your memories.

HOW TO WEAR MASCULINE JEWELRY?

As I couldn't leave you with an observation out of nowhere - "jewelry can be incorporated into all styles" - without proving it to you, here are some examples of outfits incorporating jewelry, from the simplest to the most elaborate (this are my own look).

Beyond your inspirations, your professional context obviously depends on what you can afford.

Can you be governor of California and wear a skull ring? Yes. The proof in pictures.

Yes, jewelry can fit perfectly into a formal outfit.

Avoid overdoing it with patterns or too many colors, the jewelry is already flashy enough.

Layering also exists in a jewelry style: you can therefore play with oppositions of textures, influences and materials.

Quirky formal

The offbeat formal: to show you that Karl Lagerfeld is not alone.

Finally: ostentatious bling. Why not ? If you have the means and the style to match...

I like the stories attached to jewels.

Miuccia Prada

Jewelry can be faithful allies and communicate a big part of your personality. Think of them as a visual gimmick, a signature that follows you from one outfit to the next. You can change your clothes every day but the jewelry will stay, it will be your anchor.

Here too, choose quality and you will always be rewarded. And over time, who knows, you might even pass them on to your children.

Stylist, I have been able to collaborate with a number of magazines and Parisian houses. Passionate about the work of Raf Simons, my work - and my style - are greatly influenced by his universe borrowed from punk, new wave and avant-garde culture. You will often see me with old Rick Owens sneakers on my feet, or a simple pair of black Timberlands. All with a Dior Fedora from the Slimane era that I never take off.
