I remember.
The cardigan was the first adult item of clothing I wore. At least, I perceived it as such.
Before a certain age no one wears a cardigan. It's old, we don't want it. Especially when you're a teenager. We are loath to associate its image with austerity, classic, the opposite of cool in fact.
And cool is what we seek most ardently. Maybe even more than losing your virginity.
However, the years go by and a day comes when the cardigan changes in our eyes. He got rid of the thick layer of dust with which he was covered. It now symbolizes a new path, the ticket to somewhere else.
You can wear a shirt underneath. It highlights it. It gives another silhouette. It's different.
And this day comes for a reason: we no longer need to blend into the background. We gained self-confidence. We now want clothing to take us a little further - while remaining cautious. And the cardigan does just that.
So here it is: in homage to this piece which pushed me towards a sartorial elsewhere, I have sent you this Panache. And this, even if I admit, I don't wear it as much as before.
Five outfits that I wanted to be more original than what you usually see.
That's it, Panache.
