The quality/price ratio is very good on all the pieces, especially the shirts and suits (€650 for a semi-canvassed two-piece). The only exception concerns the outerwear section, slightly overpriced, which will therefore be worth waiting for the sales.
Hackett sells two successful cuts: the classic and the slim. Afterwards, it all depends on your body shape! The materials are natural (cotton, wool, cashmere, linen and even ramie) and come from Italian mills like Loro Piana.
While pastel shades are ok, avoid flashy colors that are sometimes found on some shirts. But overall, dressing at Hackett is the assurance of not making any stylistic faux pas. The pieces are sober and well made. And special mention to the very successful casual shirts!
When Jeremy Hackett founded his eponymous brand in 1979 , it was a second-hand store selling high-end British clothing. The first Hackett products were only released in 1985.
As its logo illustrates, the brand is known for revisiting the symbols of English style with humor. Hackett offers a complete classic men's wardrobe: suits, coats, shirts, sweaters, chinos, etc. The design is classic, so sober, but not boring. However, we do not find any strong pieces…
The manufacturing is very careful : natural shoulders and functional buttonholes on the tailored pieces; cross-stitched buttons and French seams for shirts; clean finishes, comfortable V-shaped chinos.
