Even on PAP parts, several steps are carried out by hand. We feel the know-how to a large extent of the house through details such as the rolling of the shirt bottoms, the travettos, and the mother-of-pearl buttons sewn “zampa di gallina” on the tail .
The brand also produces jackets, pocket squares and ties, whose emblem is a hand-embroidered flower. Producing some of the highest quality shirts in Italy, it is not surprising that the price exceeds 200 euros for exceptional pieces , sometimes requiring more than 20 hours of work.
G. Inglese is an Italian workshop creating high-end shirts founded in Ginosa in 1955 , by Gianni Inglese. Following him, the small workshop was taken over and is now managed by his son, Angelo.
The house is renowned for the excellence and attention paid to the details of its shirts, producing 4,000 shirts per year, including around 1,500 to measure, all made by hand.
The brand experienced a burst of media coverage in 2011 when Prince William ordered his wedding shirt from it. For the record, Angelo is today working on the creation of a school in Ginosa teaching the region's traditional know-how in terms of clothing.
