Dockers

Our opinion

Updated: August 2020.

Dockers chinos represent a valid option in this “high entry-level” price niche.

They are offered in a wide variety of cuts to satisfy different body types.

There is also a wide variety of colors and materials, for all tastes.

We advise you to limit yourself to their offers of chinos, shorts, and other pants , the rest of their offer being less interesting in our eyes (more ordinary, less added value compared to the rest of the market).

The history of the brand Dockers

Founded in 1986, Dockers is a brand belonging to the Levi Strauss & Co group . Deeply American in its roots, it was above all built around chinos, even if it now markets a wider range of products.

The cut of their flagship model: the “Alpha Khaki” is a so-called tapered cut (fitted to the calves, but comfortable to the thighs), which takes its inspiration from the uniforms worn by American soldiers during the Second World War.

Surprisingly, at the time, the idea of reducing excess fabric at the calf was actually initially born from a shortage of canvas.
