Double texture

Behind its understated navy color, this 100% wool fabric conceals a double texture that is sure to intrigue the most curious eye.

First, you’ll notice the stripes... but not quite like any others. Woven directly into the fabric, they appear in relief on the surface, giving it a distinctive, highly graphic look and a crisp hand feel.

But that’s not all. Upon closer inspection, you’ll also spot small squares, characteristic of seersucker. Recognizable by its waffle and slightly wavy texture, seersucker is created through a weaving technique that alternates tighter and looser threads.

More than its unique texture, the seersucker weave lifts the fabric slightly away from your skin, making it more breathable. Another advantage of seersucker is its natural stretch, achieved here without elastane, ensuring that these trousers are very comfortable, giving you complete freedom of movement.

And the icing on the cake: this fabric is practically wrinkle-free. Whether you pack it in your suitcase for a trip or wear it throughout a long day, this kacl will retain itss shape without developing unsightly creases.

We sourced this exceptional fabric from the renowned Italian mill Vitale Barberis Canonico. Founded in 1663 in Biella, it is one of the oldest textile manufacturers in the world and is celebrated for the quality of its elegant fabrics, which are used by some of the finest tailoring brands.

Less structure, more style

When you handle this jacket, you’ll notice how completely soft it is. That’s because it’s entirely unstructured, with no stiff padding at the shoulder or canvas interlining in the chest.

Constructed like a shirt, the Otranto jacket drapes effortlessly and lightly over your shoulders. Combined with its regular cut and naturally stretchy fabric, it provides you with all-day comfort.

How to wear an unstructured jacket

Elegant in its design and relaxed in its construction, the Otranto jacket is a true wardrobe staple that can be worn:

  • Dressed up: as a suit with the matching trousers, perfect for summer weddings where you want to look refined without overdoing it.
  • Casually: for everyday wear, simply paired with a t-shirt or polo, and either jeans or chinos.
