A proudly preserved French craftmanship

To ensure you can wear them year-round, we chose to make these socks with 90% cotton for softness, 9% polyamide for durability, and 1% elastane for stretch.

This yarn is made using a special twisting technique: four ultra-fine threads are twisted together to create a new yarn that is thicker, yet both strong and exceptionally soft.

The socks are then knitted with a ribbed texture, slightly wavy and plush, on special double-cylinder machines. Unlike standard single-cylinder machines, these have two rows of needles. This historic knitting method dates back to the early 1900s and was largely abandoned in the mid-20th century with the industrialization of textile manufacturing. However, it has seen a resurgence in recent years due to its superior quality.

This process results in a durable, dense, and even knit, with precise and elegant finishing around the edges.

A family story

These socks are made in France, in a family-owned factory nestled in a small village in the heart of Limousin, by Maison Broussaud.

Founded in 1938, the company is now run by the third generation of the Broussaud family, who continue to pass down their passion and expertise in hosiery.

A historic player in French manufacturing, the company is certified EPV (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant) — a label awarded to French businesses recognized for their rare and exceptional craftsmanship.
