I don't necessarily have good news to announce...
I chose to concentrate our focus on our men's line, and to put the women's line “on standby”.
I still remain incredibly proud of the pieces that we released, which in my opinion embody a beautiful balance between casual and a little more chic fashion: a beautiful coat in wool and cashmere, an incredible cardigan in alpaca, cotton and wool that succeeds The feat of being “fluffy” without synthetics, many shirts and jeans made from Japanese materials, etc.
On the left: our Carpi coat, in a very beautiful wool and cashmere cloth, which many of you have appreciated. We have made this great material available for men, with our Bolsano coat .
Right: our Luciana cardigan, very fluffy and in a luxurious alpaca, cotton and wool material.
Why this choice to pause it then?
Mainly because it requires doubling your efforts:
- because managing a men's line AND a women's line requires larger teams than I thought, including a product division which must almost double,
- sometimes, they are not the same factories and suppliers, so there are more players to manage,
- the same in terms of images: it requires more shootings, different models, so it’s an additional workload,
In short, managing a men's line and a women's line are almost two different jobs.
And to put it another way: we launched this women's line too early in our development.
I thought we could do it with our resourceful spirit, but it's clear that this woman's line was diluting our energy rather than vitalizing it.
I don't rule out reviving this women's line one day, but it won't be for several years, when we will have an organization solidly ready to welcome this great project.
In the meantime, I'm thinking about launching a few very specific items, like the Carpi coat, for pre-order , which would require a minimum effort from the team, already busy with their workload... Or else encourage even more women to draw from our men's locker room , which happens occasionally.
If you have any ideas, don't hesitate to post them to me in comments.
