One jeans, six women, six look ideas . Our Women's line is enriched with a new model: the Salata jeans in "stone" color - a more intense blue than the "bleach" version which was released last year .
The Salata is a classic jean but far from boring . The one we slip into automatically on mornings when we want a reliable and flattering piece. This piece that we trust because it goes with everything.
Semi-high waisted, with a straight cut that highlights the lines without neglecting comfort, the Salata has the rare beauty of a Japanese canvas woven like in the 70s . Additional non-negligible points: it is made from GOTS certified organic cotton , was made in Portugal and its dyeing is environmentally friendly .
And to prove its ability to adapt to different bodies and styles , we asked six women from the BonneGueule team to make it their own and imagine a look with it. Here they are.
Sarah, minimalist with a twist
Our production manager built her look from a minimalist and effective base , whose recipe no longer has to prove anything: a white cotton t-shirt (our Cuba model) tucked into the famous Salata jeans and a pair white sneakers (the Ina de BonneGueule, which she “borrowed” from our stock shooting...).
To add a twist to the outfit, Sarah then opted for two strong pieces that go perfectly together :
- a short-sleeved jacket from the 1980s, found at a thrift store. Equipped with light shoulder pads and made of a beautiful textured material, it adorns the t-shirt and adds a discreet touch of vibrant colors thanks to its fine check pattern.
- an Amélie Pichard shoulder bag in a beautiful pop orange, decorated with a crocodile-shaped jewel closure (the brand's signature). Its color provides a discreet reminder of the lines of the jacket.
Last touch: an accumulation of golden jewelry.
Nawal, retro spirit
The second look is that of the woman who writes this article: Nawal, responsible for editorial content. And because it would be strange to talk about myself in the third person , let's switch to "I" for a moment!
For this outfit, I wanted to mix inspirations drawn from the 1970s and 1980s , as well as autumnal and spicy shades that I particularly appreciate. The centerpiece is my vintage Naf-Naf shirt and its very seventies print. I'm wearing it here layered over a cream Yvo&Moi merino wool under-sweater , and under a classic beige vintage trench coat . The fluidity of the latter creates an interesting contrast with the more robust fabric of denim.
I finished my outfit with a brown Maison Standards corduroy cap , a leather Balzac bag chosen in the same shades, a black leather belt and a pair of very comfortable patent cowboy boots .
Charlène, attention to detail
Charlène, operations director of the Product Division, opted for a look where the devil is in the details.
Just like Sarah mentioned above, the base is simple and effective , with a white t-shirt / blue jeans combo. An outfit that she then enriched with:
- an anthracite cotton overshirt from Lemaire, with a mandarin collar, which she chose to wear crossed
- a vintage Lanvin multicolored silk scarf, repurposed to accessorize the belt-style jeans
- Black Jimmy Fairly Sunglasses |
- a pair of Arket lavender-colored socks
- a pair of black leather Paraboots
Landry, bohemian and romantic
Landry, technician and pattern maker in the product department, has chosen to take her jeans into a bohemian and romantic world .
I don't know about you, but I don't have eyes for her sublime ivory silk crepe blouse , from Céline. This breastplate! Those ruffles on the chest! Those embroideries on the cuffs! Sorry, I'm getting carried away .
It's an airy and delicate piece that she mixed, for the sake of contrast, with more rigid pieces: jeans, therefore, but also a studded leather belt as well as black pumps from André - including the thick heel makes walking much easier .
Hélène, casual cool
Is it possible to be cooler than Hélène, our production manager? Answer: no.
Here, the Salata stands out as a casual piece , with an everyday look that combines elegance and absolute coolness. It is worn with a white blouse from Maje, a Monoprix patterned jacket with crocodiles (again!) and plants , and a pair of black patent Chelsea Boots from Minelli. His belt ? She got it from her mother. “You’ll say it’s vintage!” , she whispered to me.
Fanny, touches of pastel
Fanny, administrative and financial manager, is the always chic girl who arrives at the office clicking her heels on the floor . It was therefore obvious that she was going to wear her jeans with a pair of pumps (here, a black suede model from Minelli). The detail that changes everything: the cuff on the bottom of the jeans, so that the fit is more flattering with the shape of the shoes .
The rest of the look consists of:
- a white Patina cotton t-shirt
- an OrtaStore cotton and linen shirt, adorned with pastel vertical stripes, worn open
- a white leather Le Tanneur bag which adds a bright touch
Want to bring Salata jeans into your own world and wardrobe? It's happening right here .
