MOCCASINS, TIES, POUCHES, CAPS: OUR NEW ACCESSORIES

MOCASSINS, CRAVATES, POCHETTES, CASQUETTES : NOS NOUVEAUX ACCESSOIRES

As I have already mentioned, our launch strategy has evolved this year: we now release the parts one by one as soon as they arrive at our logistician, "as it happens" .

And throughout the month of June, there is a lot of excitement in our accessories with the following releases:

  • a pair of very comfortable deer leather moccasins
  • three silk ties with unique textures
  • a pocket square in an original fabric
  • and 8 caps in Japanese and French fabrics

I remind you that for those in a hurry, these accessories are already available in our eshop and our stores!

OUR MADE IN ITALY MOCASSINS IN DEER LEATHER

deer leather moccasins

We wanted maximum comfort , with soft leather, while maintaining certain durability. And if there is one leather that combines these two seemingly opposite characteristics (flexibility and durability), it is deer leather.

I have already spoken at length about this leather as part of the release of our deer leather jacket.

Its advantages are therefore:

  • great flexibility,
  • great resistance to time,
  • great patina potential.

A little originality here: we used the suede part of the deer leather, to have a beautiful texture , a little more relaxed than the usual smooth appearance on this type of leather.

But that's not all: on durable leather, you also need a timeless shape and we turned to our workshop in Italy, accustomed to the construction of beautiful moccasins with a slightly slender appearance and close to the foot.

In terms of construction, it is a quality Blake stitch. No Goodyear here, because we wanted a very flexible construction, always with this idea of comfort.

To summarize, this moccasin is:

  • a flexible construction made in Italy
  • unparalleled comfort
  • high-end leather, very comfortable and durable

These moccasins are already available in our stores and on our eshop:

OUR 3 NEW WILD AND KNITTED SILK TIES

It's been a long time since there was a tie at BonneGueule!

With the release of our summer costumes , it was time to do something about it. I would like to thank once again Frédéric from the Howard's brand who developed these ties. It's always a pleasure to work with a great enthusiast like him!

His expertise allows us to have the following finishes:

  • the bottom of the tie is rolled (and not just folded down) by hand , for a refined and precise finish
  • there are two travettos — a stitch that can only be done by hand — that close the tie
  • there is a interlining carefully chosen by Frédéric, to have a balance between flexibility and hold
  • and there is an invisible thread that maintains the shape of the tie over time

Here are our three ties, two are made in Italy and one in Germany for a very specific reason…

1. A GREEN SHANTUNG SILK TIE

green silk tie

If you only had to have one, this is it. Indeed, the green tie goes with many other colors: blue, gray, but also beige or terracotta, it is a very versatile color.

This is the tie that is used in Jordan's tie knot tutorial, if you want to see it in more detail and in motion:

On the fabric side, it is a very beautiful wild herringbone silk. It is woven in Italy near Lake Como, on very old machines , in order to have that textured finish that we love at BonneGueule.

2. A SHANTUNG SILK GRENADINE TIE

grenadine silk tie

At BonneGueule, we love both the “designer” side of shantung silk and the texture of silk grenadine. And, as we like to push things a little far, we asked ourselves: why not have both on the same tie?

The result is a unique texture where the irregularity of the silk blends perfectly with the geometry of the characteristic patterns of grenadine . It is thanks to almost century-old machines that we can achieve this refined result in weaving.

Color-wise, it’s a very textured burgundy; a color that I find very practical to wear with suits in both sober and more assertive colors. It's quite difficult to get it wrong in the end.

This tie is personally what I'm going to take to attend a wedding this summer.

3. A NAVY BLUE TIE KNITTED IN GERMANY

And finally, it's a slightly more classic tie, still in silk, but again, in a texture that's literally unique in the world ...

Let me explain: this workshop has machines not found elsewhere which allow very dense and compact silk knitting, with a “crispy” finish .

It is the only workshop in the world that can achieve such a result, much more high-end than a classic knitted silk tie.

Even if you wear this tie for several years, it will not relax thanks to this firmly knitted silk. When you touch it, you will immediately feel the difference .

OUR BANDANA FABRIC POUCH

With this clutch, the aim was to create an accessory to bring a touch of the unexpected to an elegant and summer outfit. That's why we took the remaining fabric from our bandana and transformed it into a pocket square.

It's a 100% cotton fabric from Japan with a paisley pattern , to give a little touch of originality!

To fold it, don't panic, Jordan has put together a video on this subject:

OUR 8 MIXED CAPS

In the same vein as last year, it was important to us to offer you caps in original fabrics.

They all have the same shape and will suit both a woman and a man.

In the program :

  • velvet woven in France
  • the famous wool, linen and silk fabric from Loro Piana (of which I am a huge fan!)
  • 100% linen woven in France by Lemaitre Demeestere
  • and a Japanese fabric dyed with indigo

I'll let you discover them by clicking here:
