Benoît presents our “Chilometro Zero” coat to you

Benoît vous présente notre manteau "Chilometro Zero"
Our coat in collaboration with ABCL is the first chapter of our know-how tour of Europe. The next will be France and the third and last, Portugal. But first let's focus on this coat born in the heart of Veneto.

Rather in a hurry? Find our coat It is a weaver founded in 1795 , and which still belongs to the same family! More precisely, it is now the tenth generation who is at the helm of the company. Its high-end positioning has ensured the sustainability of this company.

Wool is sorted based on the natural color of the fiber. Paoletti can then create this magnificent chevron with multiple shades of color , thanks to the weaving: brown rubs shoulders with sand or greige, all in subtlety, with a graphic, authentic visual, that only the natural colors of wool can provide .

Why chevron?

Because it gives graphic richness to the fabric, while making it even more resistant .

It weighs 433 g/m2, making it versatile in terms of temperatures . It will accompany you without problem for many winters. He doesn't really fear water and wind, so don't be afraid when the clouds are black in the sky!

100% Italian manufacturing

Let's recap: the sheep and the wool come from Veneto, the wool is then spun and woven by Paoletti in the same region, we then have to make this coat. Here too, the workshop is located in the same geographical area. It is a small family workshop, experienced in manufacturing high-end coats.

What's good about working with Italians is that they have a very appreciable sense of fit and allure. It's a sensitivity that's difficult to quantify and explain, but which is immediately apparent when you try the prototypes.

Mattia was inspired by a vintage Korean military coat, and he wanted to find this structure in our collaboration.

In terms of fit, I wanted something a little straighter than what we usually do, so that I could comfortably wear it with a blazer or a chunky sweater underneath. It is also a little longer than our other coats .

Let’s see its main finishes…

One half-raglan shoulder

This is one of the particularities of the cut: from the front, the shoulder appears standard, but from the back, it is a raglan construction . It's a sophisticated and discreet detail, which is what we liked.

4 pockets including one zipped

There are obviously two exterior pockets, but also two interior pockets, so one is zippered. It's a bit like our signature and it helps secure your most important personal belongings: passport, money, etc.

An American facing

It's a finish that I love, and that you already know on our blazers: it's when the outer fabric is also used inside the coat, on the two front panels, instead of having a lining. It's more expensive because it requires greater use of fabric, but the visual effect when you open your coat and the durability are incommensurable!

There are still many details like the buttoned back slit and the tab at the bottom of the coat that I invite you to discover in real life.
