The Hangover sunglasses

If like me, you can't help but carefully observe the outfits of the characters in a film, you will undoubtedly have noticed that the styling of the sunglasses in the two Hangover films is very successful. . In addition, I received a few emails asking me for the references of the models that the actors wore: I'm therefore writing a short article on the subject, especially since it's the kind of article that's fun to write 😉

Very Bad Trip I

Let's start with the most iconic character in the film: Zach Galifianakis, whose glasses became cult following the film .

He wears the Demi Tortoise Nylon model from the Californian brand Blublocker (which uses the same lenses as American astronauts). Surprisingly, this model is quite affordable , even if it is impossible to find in Europe.

The choice of this model is very judicious, the roundness of the shape of the glasses is harmonious with the imposing physique of the actor . In terms of colors, the very particular color of the tortoiseshell effect goes well with Zack Galifianakis' hair and skin.

Now for the hunk on duty, Bradley Cooper .

He simply wears a good old pair of Ray Ban Aviator 3025 , although with a customized lens color, apparently impossible to find commercially.

The fineness of the silver branches is much more in keeping with the features of his face than the imposing model of Zack Galifianakis. It is also a good example which shows that a slightly original lens color gives a much more impactful result.

Finally, the overexcited Korean played by Ken Jeong wears a very structured pair:

This is the V729 model from John Varvatos , a very nice American brand.

It's funny to see that the stylists chose a pair with very dark lenses to recall the color of her hair , and fairly light temples to replay the contrast between her skin and her hair. Indeed, this famous contrast that BonneGueule Book readers know well is also applicable when choosing a pair of sunglasses (see the other two models above).

Very Bad Trip Part II

Although the film has not yet been released, two models have already been spotted.

Once again, Zack Galifianakis can pride himself on having made the right choice:

He is wearing a pair of Mosely Tribes, Bromley model (be careful, high price).

Personally, I find this choice excellent. The unique design, the thickness of the outline of the glasses completely suits the character and gives it a unique style.

Much more elegant, Bradley Cooper once again wears a very fine pair:

This is a very beautiful pair from the very beautiful brand Oliver Peoples, Benedict model.

I find the shapes of this model very balanced, discreet, and easy to wear . I wouldn't be surprised if this model suits the majority of faces...

Anyway, I promise to update this article if other models are worth the detour 😉
