MEASUREMENTS YOU NEED TO KNOW WHEN CHOOSING A T-SHIRT
If you want to buy a t-shirt without being able to try it on, it is good to have your measurements on hand to be sure you make the right choice.
Once you know them, getting it wrong becomes almost impossible.
Take your measuring tapes!
Here's a tip that will make your life easier: if you already have a t-shirt that suits you perfectly, you can use it as a standard for all your other purchases.
I advise you to watch this video that Tom created for you, it's all there!
Let's recap now.
MEASUREMENT A: SHOULDER TO SHOULDER WIDTH
We measure the distance between the two shoulder seams, not following the shape of the garment. (This measurement is not necessarily indicated on the size tables of the different e-shops).
MEASUREMENT B: ARMIT-TO-ARMIT WIDTH
We start from the armpit seam to join its opposite.
This measurement will always appear on the conversion tables of the different e-shops.
MEASUREMENT C: T-SHIRT LENGTH
Find the middle of the shoulder, bring the ribbon down parallel to the edge of the t-shirt, and finish at the bottom.
This measurement will always appear on the conversion tables of the different e-shops.
So.
If you don't have the right size piece on hand...no worries! Here's how to take your measurements...
HOW TO TAKE MEASURES ?
CHEST SIZE
To get your bust measurement, pass the measuring tape around the most prominent part of your chest.
This measurement is equivalent to the armpit-to-armpit width (Measurement B, see above) multiplied by two.
BACK LENGTH
Back length is the measurement from the end of your neck (from the bone) to the tailbone. The length of a shirt can be equivalent to your back length (casual shirt) or longer (formal shirt, intended to be tucked into your pants).
That's all you'll need to choose your ready-to-wear size.
Now let's look at the size and conversion tables by country.
