Napapijri

Our opinion
Despite their apparent technicality, the market value of Napapijri parts is found more in marketing and a well-constructed brand image, than in a quality/price ratio . The brand does not hide it: the designs are “fashion and lifestyle” oriented. Also pay attention to the composition of sleeved pieces , which often contain synthetic materials for prices that do not justify their use. In terms of style, the majority of pieces offered are either basics of no particular interest , or creations of questionable taste. Not to mention the lack of subtlety of clothing with an ostentatious logo. We still salute the ethical effort of the brand which has stopped using animal fur since 2015 . Napapijri has also replaced the use of feathers with technical padding which is intended to be more insulating. Let's keep in mind that these processes reduce production costs, which can also help the brand if it does not reduce its selling prices accordingly.
The history of the brand Napapijri

Created in Italy in 1987, Napapijri is a brand specializing in outdoor clothing.

The brand name is derived from the word “Napapiirin”, meaning “Arctic Polar Circle” in Finnish. Coupled with the recurring display of a Norwegian flag on the pieces, this claim to a Nordic identity comes from the mountain origins of the brand: its first product was a technical mountain bag. Since then, Napapijri has been inspired by this universe to offer pieces that are more fashionable than technical for urban use.

The brand has a large number of its own stores around the world, the majority of which are in Europe. It is also widely available in multi-brand distributors, in physical stores and in e-shop.
