Balthazar is a mid-range brand, with satisfactory fabrics and manufacturing. But you shouldn't expect more: neither exclusive material nor "creative touch".
The most interesting pieces are the suits (400-450€) and the shirts (around 70€). For the price of the suits, we are faced with beautiful Italian Reda fabrics, correct assembly and a satisfactory cut. In the same way, the fabrics of the shirts are honorable and their cuts are fitted.
For knits, you have to be careful because, apart from a few collaborations (for example with Six-et-Sept), they tend to deform over time.
Balthazar is the own brand of the Parisian department store "Le Bon Marché" (department store in the 7th arrondissement).
Balthazar's objective is to offer mid-range clothing , with correct pretensions, and at an accessible price.
Distributed exclusively in the men's department of the store, or online for those who do not live in Paris, it offers a limited choice of suits and shirts, in addition to a few basics.
The products are simple, rather formal, but not often renewed from one year to the next.
