Italian waffle knit

Not all wool sweaters are created equal.

While many feature a smooth texture and a fabric that can feel itchy, that's not what we want for you this winter.

With this matter in mind, we designed the Verone with a waffle knit made from extra-fine merino wool (18.5 microns) that is incredibly soft. This three-dimensional texture is achieved by alternating knit and purl stitches, forming a micro-pattern of juxtaposed squares on the sweater's surface.

This carded wool knit has a natural loft that provides excellent thermal insulation and a slightly irregular texture, giving it a "fuzzy" look with small wool fibers on the surface.

The cherry on top: the sweater is lightly brushed on the inside for a soft, fluffy feel, offering maximum comfort and a cozy, cocoon-like sensation.

The secret to this softness lies with Lanerossi, a renowned Italian spinner with over two centuries of experience crafting high-end wool yarns.

When style and comfort join forces

The Verone sweater features a slightly straight fit that gives you room where you need it—at the chest, waist, shoulders, and arms. Extremely comfortable, this cozy sweater is hard to take off once you’ve put it on. Be careful not to have it taken away by a loved one!

To ensure the sweater fits perfectly, our Italian workshop knitted each part directly into the right shape (known as “fully-fashioned” construction) and then linked them together. No seams or cuts in sight.

How to wear this sweater

In addition to being season-appropriate, forest green is a perfect color for a change from classic tones, while still being very easy to wear. This green complements brown, blue, gray, and also pairs well with black.

Its textured knit and vibrant color allow you to wear this sweater in the simplest way: alone, with just a T-shirt and jeans.

For added style, you can dress up the neckline with a shirt collar or a silk scarf. For a bolder look, try layering knits by wearing a thin turtleneck underneath in a neutral color.
