Italian vegetable-tanned leather
Good shoes always start with quality leather.
That’s why we chose a smooth leather with a regular grain that's supple and holds well. Sourced in an Italian tannery with 70 years of experience, this leather is vegetable-tanned, meaning the process of turning raw hide into leather is done using plant-based tannins (from plants and bark, for example).
In addition to being environmentally friendly and free of harmful chemicals, this process allows the leather to develop a unique patina over time with wear.
A rounded shape that can be worn with any style
If you were to own only one pair of loafers, it should be this one.
With a penny loafer design and a rounded toe for a more casual look, the Wembley takes inspiration from the models worn by Ivy League students in American universities.
These loafers can be worn year-round, in any style you like. Are you a fan of tailored looks? Pair them with a suit. You prefer more casual outfits? They work wonders with chinos or jeans, injecting a touch of elegance into the outfit.
Yes, these are Bonnegueule’s first-ever black shoes, and we’re proud of it. Easy to wear with a sleek design, they can either subtly complete a dark-toned outfit or provide a striking contrast to lighter ensembles. Trust us: try black shoes.
