Wash your T-shirts at 30°C on a gentle spin cycle. Use the wool cycle for merino wool T-shirts.
Turn them inside out before washing to preserve the color and fabric.
Avoid overloading the machine and wash with similar colors.
Note: a T-shirt made from a heavier, denser cotton jersey can withstand machine washing at a slightly higher temperature or with a slightly higher spin cycle. However, you should be a bit careful and avoid washing a lighter, summer T-shirt made from a slightly more breathable jersey too aggressively.
Air-dry whenever possible.
For a lighter, more breathable T-shirt, lay-flat drying is recommended to prevent the garment from stretching under its own weight.
Avoid the dryer, which can shrink or distort the garment.
A T-shirt naturally needs to be washed more often than the rest of your wardrobe: generally after 1 to 2 wears, depending on how often you wear it.
A merino T-shirt can be washed every 5 to 10 wears, due to the wool’s antibacterial properties and its more frequent use in the fall and winter, when it’s cooler.
The white T-shirt is a wardrobe staple for men. But over time, it can turn yellow, especially around the collar and underarms. The main cause: a combination of sweat, sebum, and deodorant residue. What can you do?
Wash your white T-shirt right after wearing it, especially if you’ve sweated.
Avoid deodorants that are high in oils or aluminum.
Apply a small amount of laundry detergent directly to the area.
Rub very gently (with your fingers or a soft brush).
Let it sit for a few minutes before washing.
For more severe cases: you can use a mild stain remover suitable for white garments.
