Our techwear capsule is available here.
To conclude this techwear capsule that is dear to me, I wanted to present to you my last Christmas gift: a snood that will help you face the blizzards!
Why a snood?
I love scarves, but sometimes I need a warm neck protector that is very compact, that I can slip into a parla pocket or small backpack pocket (which is rarely possible with a scarf).
When hiking, the neck warmer is an essential and very practical accessory, and I thought it was a shame that there wasn't an urban equivalent, in a luxurious material, to wear with your best coat.
A luxurious wool and cashmere blend from Italy
On a seemingly simple piece, you can't cheat on the material, because it's the one that will completely wear the snood.
It is therefore a jersey from the Italian Lanecardate in:
- 90% wool
- 10% cashmere
The fibers are spun in Italy, and it is then knitted in Romania. It's a 12 gauge, so if we released it in a sweater, it would have a thin weight, which is perfectly suited to the compact size that I absolutely wanted.
Its dimensions are also:
- height 60 cm
- width 20 cm
Why such a height? Well for a very practical reason: to give you the maximum number of possibilities to wear this snood...
An extremely versatile accessory
It's certainly a neck strap, but its length allows it to be used in several ways.
Let's see what we can do with it!
Around the neck
Alan is wearing our Kinvara coat , and the Anselmo snood .
Nothing too complicated, you put on the neck gaiter, and you have a warm and pleasant envelope to protect your throat.
Even warmer around the neck
No, it's not the same photo! Here we folded the neck warmer in half, to have double thickness for the coldest days.
In a hat
Yes, this neck gaiter can also become an “emergency hat” just in case. Simply turn the snood over, twist it in the middle, and put it on. You will therefore have two layers to keep your head warm.
Around the head
This is the logical continuation of the neck circumference: it transforms into a head circumference. Practical for those who have cold ears but want to have a well-ventilated scalp, especially in the event of heatstroke.
To protect your nose
Very simple: put on your snood and pull it up above your nose. The advantage of having wool is that the mist released through your nose and/or mouth will not cause an odor!
In blizzard mode
To be reserved for the most desperate situations (and not for robbing a business)! Here, head, neck, and face covered, for maximum protection.
