Content creator for BonneGueule by day, moccasin influencer by night. As part of our new "A day with" format, we followed Jordan, member of the BonneGueule team, for... a day. Meeting place ? Bordeaux, city where he took up residence at the end of 2020.
A portrait can also be discovered below on our Youtube channel:
His occupations
You (probably) know him as the face of the Panache format, in which he constructs outfits like a mixologist creating the ideal cocktail. At BonneGueule, where he has been active since 2018, Jordan writes articles, hosts videos, works on the different communication axes linked to our clothing releases and participates in the organization of the brand's collaborations.
Alongside his work, this 34-year-old father dedicates most of his time to his family and his daughter, Madeleine. “It’s more important than anything else,” he confides. "I try to teach her to have self-confidence and self-deprecation - because one without the other doesn't work. Self-deprecation is what makes her 'we move forward in life and we can be happy'.
Her passion
His daughter is also the main subject of one of Jordan's main passions: photography. The latter even followed training to perfect himself in the art of capturing the moment... and taking a selfie (ok, we say "self-portrait"). “Knowing how to take my own photo allows me to be autonomous in creating content,” he explains. “I discovered a contemplative, almost meditative and therapeutic activity.”
And whenever he can, this fan of Stephen Shore or William Eggleston goes on a weekend alone to take photos.
Its (almost) secret activity
Not many people know this, but Jordan is also part of a rock band (in which he sings rock classics, from AC/DC to Led Zeppelin). You do not believe it ? However, you should know that he even went on stage in front of 2000 people during the Fête de la Musique in Charentes-Maritimes, where he is from.
“When we are on stage, we are completely in another universe,” he emphasizes. "We're out of everything and we have to perform. It's not like in videos where you can cut at any time! There you're on stage and if you screw up, you screw up. And everyone can boo you.”
Jordan adds that he understands music as he understands style: "I rely on classical pieces, and I then go to make strong pieces in order to energize, regenerate, give a boost...".
Her favorite pieces
His favorite strong piece? Camoshita pants with a madder print, which almost have the shape of pajamas.
And when we ask him which BonneGueule piece he is most attached to, he draws two. “These are collaborations that I was able to do: the Denver jacket, and the Spencer jacket, boxy, really old-fashioned, with two chest pockets and in a fairly strong blue that goes with most of the clothes I own ".
Good addresses in Bordeaux
In Bordeaux, Jordan loves the Dimi thrift store, an inexpensive military surplus where there are plenty of pieces. “I bought a pair of chinos and military shorts there – I love getting lost there when I have a bit of time,” explains the content creator.
And for eating, he highly recommends Les Halles de Bacalan, where he goes on weekends with his friends. “Everyone can go to the market stand that they want the most depending on what they want to eat,” according to Jordan who, for his part, loves the rougail sausage from Wayo-Wayo.
And if you liked this portrait, we'll see you next week for another day with a member of the BonneGueule team.
