Report: Albini, the most Italian of weavers

As soon as we talk about shirting fabrics, the same names often come up: Monti, Emanuel Lang, Alumo... and especially Albini Group, with whom we have already collaborated .

During our last trip to Italy, we took the opportunity to visit them and chat with Silvio Albini, today president of Albini Group and fifth generation at the head of the family business.

In this video, you will learn:

  • what is “the driving force” of Maison Albini,
  • how she managed to preserve Egyptian cotton,
  • what is Sea Island cotton,
  • what vertical integration entails,
  • what is the importance of innovation in collections and how it translates into products.

Don't forget to enable subtitles in the video.

We would like to warmly thank Davide and Carmen, who accompanied us and served as guides throughout this visit, as well as Silvio Albini for his time and enthusiasm.
