I am delighted to present this new collaboration with the specialist in high-end socks in France: Mes Chaussettes Rouges. Two knee-high socks knitted in Italy in a luxurious blend of linen, silk and polyamide, with a unique texture and mottled look.

Why socks, and why a collaboration with Mes Chaussettes Rouges?

When you invest in a nice suit, a nice shirt, a nice textured tie, and nice shoes, it's natural to want to be elegant all the way. It's hard to go to a ceremony in a suit and with sports socks for example...

And in the kind of detail that can ruin an outfit, there is the one where the sock is too short when you are sitting , thus revealing the skin of the calf.

That's good, because that's exactly the situation I want to avoid for you.

This is why it is essential to wear high socks , knee-highs, socks that are much thinner than those used for sports (and therefore much more breathable).

And I guarantee that once you try knee-highs, you won't be able to go back to your formal wear.

But we wanted to go further with this collaboration , by creating socks with a texture and composition that are pleasant to wear when it's hot.

To create this pair of socks, we were lucky enough to be able to collaborate with Mes Chaussettes Rouges, a French brand to which we are attached , dedicated to high-end socks, which started around the same time as BonneGueule, we have seen ourselves grow over the years.

A rare blend of linen, silk and polyamide

For this project, we absolutely wanted linen in this sock. It is a very practical material in summer because of its freshness, and for the unique texture of linen, slightly irregular, in short, everything we love at BonneGueule!

But there is a very complicated equation to solve: you have to find the right mix between breathability, thinness and durability.

However, a 100% linen sock would be too fragile, so something else is needed to make it more durable. That's why we chose a blend of 61% linen, 26% silk and 13% polyamide on the advice of Jacques and Vincent, the founders of Mes Chaussettes Rouges.
