#1: Vary the volumes
@theyoungwretch and @casatlantic on Instagram.
Yes, the tank top can very well be worn close to the body. Among its 1001 lives, there is that of an undergarment so it won't shock many people. But if you do it without superposition, straight or loose pants like in these two photos will be welcome. Unlike a combination with slim jeans, you will thus create a contrast of volumes. A more interesting play of cuts. And no one will be able to tell you that you stole his undershirt from Lucky Luke.
#2: Scoop neck + necklaces = ❤️
If the heat allows you to wear your tank top alone, you can also dress up its collar to give body to your outfit. Our first reflex is the chain, with or without a pendant.
Special mention to those that are long enough to go over the collar, creating a beautiful layering. This way, you are not accessorizing yourself but rather the tank top. You create a transition between your neck and the latter.
You can also accumulate two lengths as above, or choose a side as below.

For the color of your chain, there is no absolute rule but if you want to match it, think shades as you would with any accessory. Gold when you wear ecru, beige (or even yellow) and/or brown for example.
Note how the curve of the chain nicely matches that of the collar. BonneGueule x Paul Binam cardigan .

A chain can also be used to enhance a polo/tank collar set, for those who want to be both elegant and casual. Have your cake and eat it too.
And since we're talking about elegance and casualness, there's nothing like a tank top to twist a suit. And nothing like a chain to link the nonchalance of one to the preciousness of the other.

Since there is never enough balance in an outfit, you can also make a reminder between your chain and your belt buckle.

Also think about pearl necklaces, more daring but also more original. You can start with ecru pearls, which won't clash with the white of your tank top. Even less so if you continue with this monochrome.

But the necklace is not the only accessory that can dress up your low-cut collars.
#3: Add a scarf
It's hard to tell that your tank top looks sloppy with that.
If you want it to not be obvious, simply choose it in the same tones as your outfit.
@reecewalker.
For the knot, there are not 36 ways to do it: a double will do the trick. On the other hand, you can vary the lengths.

#4: Open collars are your friend

They perfectly match the summer spirit of your scoop necks.
Under a shark collar shirt, you wear a tank top. Under a classic collar shirt, you wear an undershirt.

#5: Tank top + crochet shirt = ☀️

Where the sleeves of a white t-shirt would be too obvious, the tank top will leave room for the real stars of the outfit: your shoulders.

#6: Remember this pattern
Carhartt Lookbook.
A tip that is just as effective with a tank top as with a white t-shirt, to anchor it in your layering.
Above, the reminder between the tank top and the white dominoes ensures a better transition. Same principle with the shirts below (hey, an open collar).

Another way to use your tank top as a reminder to create balance: let a line of its collar stick out, echoing white pants for example.

You get the idea? Well, with a tank top, you can take it further. Too far, even. And we love it.

#8: Join the workwear army
Historically, the tank top is part of the worker's and soldier's outfits. Historically, the workwear style draws its character from these two outfits. You know what you have to do.
