Zara

Our opinion

By renewing its collections very regularly and offering numerous time-limited “capsules”, the brand offers a very wide range of products, covering all styles: casual, streetwear, formal, workwear, etc.

Although some rooms may be pleasant at first glance, there is always one problem:.

- Most often, it will be the material, of low quality, stuffed with synthetic

- Then come the missed style details: edging of all kinds, contrasting sewing thread, visible inscriptions or logos, etc.

To stay within style considerations, the brand does not hide its strong inspiration from the clothing of renowned designers or brands, sometimes even bordering on pure and simple copying.

If you manage to slalom between polyamide, acrylic and other polyesters, you will find certain clothes in cotton, linen or wool: pants, shirts or sweaters for example.

Why not for a garment with a strong style and a reasonable price, but which you risk quickly getting tired of.

Absolutely avoid leather (shoes, gloves, bags), 100% synthetic suits, colorful clothing (torn for example) or down jackets.

In conclusion: Zara is to clothing what McDonald's is to food: it is everywhere, we are tempted to take a look but we are never really satisfied when we take the plunge.

The history of the brand Zara

Born in a Spanish workshop in 1963, Zara was originally focused on the production of underwear. With modest success, the company was able to open its first store in 1975, in La Coruña. The brand is part of the Spanish group Inditex, world leader in textile manufacturing.

At the end of the 1980s, the brand launched in Portugal and New York, with growing growth. Today, it is represented by more than 2,500 stores around the world, spread across around sixty countries.

Founded on the fast-fashion model , Zara produces just in time, allowing it to renew its collections every month. The brand directly copies luxury houses and designers to reproduce similar products at lower costs. Everything is there: same designs, same colors, same cuts, but not the same materials or the same finishes...
