The Initialist

We haven't been able to try on any The Initialist clothing yet. This sheet will be updated when this opportunity arises.

The offer proposed by The Initialist is quite simple: basics in a casual chic style, offered at an affordable price .

The collection is currently relatively tight. Here is a quick opinion on each of the pieces in the collection:

- T-shirt : basic, nothing to add.

- Flannel shirt : the presence of two chest pockets is interesting for those who love style. The green color seems interesting to us. The others a little less. The presence of kapok, an unusual plant fiber, is intriguing.

- Japanese denim shirt : interesting with its snap buttons, western shirt inspiration. This is a rare detail that sets it apart from the denim shirts of direct competitors. We like it or not.

- Oxford shirt : basic, nothing to add.

- Japanese selvedge jeans : an effective basic available in 4 more or less light versions, stretch or not. Fitted cut.

- Stretch chinos : basic, nothing to add. The information on the material weight may be missing to see which season the pants are best suited to.

- Wool coat : basic and in a fabric from the Italian house Loro Piana. Medium weight (coat neither very light nor very thick).

- M-51 jacket : probably the most interesting garment in the collection. The design is successful with the slightly puffy and inclined pockets, the central grosgrain throat is relevant, the slightly technical material.

Note: the confection is sometimes European, sometimes South Korean . We will try to find out why the choice of South Korea is intriguing.

It seems interesting to distinguish more basic products (t-shirt, chinos, coat) from more original ones , with a slightly stronger style proposition (denim shirt, M-51 jacket).

In any case, given the competitive prices, the brand's products seem interesting and recommendable to us.
