The quality/price ratio at Paris Yorker is good: for knitting made in Eastern Europe on Italian yarn, the average price of a 2-ply sweater is around €80.
The knitting is fully-fashioned (different elements of the sweater knitted in one piece rather than cut from a knit sheet), and the assembly is re-knitted (rather than sewn).
We also welcome small touches of creativity on the knits and their knitting stitches, for worked basics, as well as a nice variety of models.
The finishes are sometimes a little rough, particularly on the remeshing, but largely acceptable given the price.
In short: a very good place to purchase a good quality sweater at a reasonable price.
Updated October 2020
The brand announced that it would cease its activity in 2018.
In October 2020, the brand started again for good with new production on existing references and the announcement of new pieces (shirts and scarves).
2024 update
Some recent feedback from the brand indicates customer service that is not always up to par.
Paris Yorker is a men's knitwear brand, which aims to be accessible and of quality thanks to a distribution model without intermediaries, with a rather entry-to-mid-range positioning.
She works primarily with merino and cotton, and has a fairly wide range.
