Mario Dessuti's proposal is simple: formal basics for men with honorable quality and an affordable price.
The 2-piece suits all cost €240. €300 if you add a vest.
They are 100% wool, in Italian Vitale Barberis Canonico or Reda wools, heat-bonded, and offered in neutral colors: navy blue, anthracite gray, black.
The shirts, sweaters and coats are of the same ilk: sober in colors and designs and offered at competitive prices.
So, you won't find anything fancy at Mario Dessuti (no light, patterned jackets, with linen or silk, etc.) but it is an option to consider for a basic suit to wear every day, at a price reasonable and all without synthetics.
Update 2021: The brand's website is currently down. On the other hand, you will still find two open stores of the brand in Paris, in the Opera district and towards Avenue d'Italie.
Founded in 1988 under the leadership of Mr. Michel Golzan , this French brand offers a formal men's wardrobe at a competitive price at the entry level.
The brand initially only offered suits. Now you will also find a tight collection of shirts, sweaters and coats.
Mario Dessuti currently has six stores in Paris, one store in Bordeaux, four stores in Algeria and one store in Bahrain.
The brand is owned by the LodinG group.
