Spirit

Our opinion

Esprit is clearly aimed at an audience who does not wish to bother with style considerations. All the basics are there to provide a wardrobe, but you won't find any creative effort there.

It is also possible to turn to the more formal range (shirts, suits, etc.) even if the quality is not amazing

Although some models are in poor taste (faded jeans, printed t-shirts, etc.), the clothes generally do the job, nothing more.

However, we can regret prices that are a little too high compared to the cost price for the company.

The lifespan is within market standards for a mid-range wardrobe and you will be able to find some acceptable pieces, which will last one or two seasons.

The history of the brand Spirit

Esprit is a German-Hong Kong brand created in 1971 and arrived in Europe in 1976.

The brand claims to produce classic and basic clothing: t-shirts, jeans and even simple knits.

The men's collection changes very little from one year to the next apart from a few new prints on the tees. It also offers some more formal clothing such as suits, shirts and even wool/polyester pants.

In 1998, the brand launched an EDC (Esprit De Corps) line which targets a younger audience.
