Burberry

Our opinion

The brand now offers a complete wardrobe, as well as numerous accessories and a perfume line. The wardrobe consisted of three clothing lines, in a relatively elegant register:

These three lines merged at the end of 2015.

The company was floated on the stock exchange in 2002, had a turnover of around 2.4 billion euros in 2014, and was granted royal recognition in 1955.

While the products are classic, the brand is extremely innovative from a business perspective . It is one of the most digitalized luxury brands, strong in e-commerce and in-store services such as virtual fitting rooms.

It is also the first luxury brand to allow the purchase of its clothes on the same day as their presentation at the fashion show, since 2016.

In terms of value for money, it goes without saying that the brand image is reflected in the prices of this brand, which is well established in the luxury sector. So, reserve it for strong pieces.

The history of the brand Burberry

Burberry is a luxury clothing and accessories brand based in London, UK. The brand was founded by Thomas Burberry, then an apprentice draper, in 1856.

From its inception, the brand has specialized in outerwear and is renowned for its warm and waterproof clothing.

In 1880, Thomas Burberry created and patented a then-unprecedented material, gabardine, a material made waterproof before woven, protecting against wind, cold and rain. This fabric is closely linked to the brand's flagship piece: the trench coat.
