Brioni

Our opinion

Recognized as one of the biggest tailoring brands in the world, Brioni obviously offers iconic pieces.

We recognize its models by their discreet elegance characterized by an impeccable cut.

For the most part, the materials used are exclusive and luxurious: cashmere, silk, vicuna and even guanaco (the most expensive wools in the world).

For the most luxurious suits, we find impressive fabrics like super 210 wool (13 micron diameter fiber).

On average, a Brioni suit requires 22 hours of work for the approximately 400 tailors working for the brand.

No wonder, therefore, that the brand is among the most expensive in the world. Quality and know-how come at a price. In this case, that of a suit does not go below 4000 euros.

The history of the brand Brioni

After studying to be a master tailor, Nazareno Fonticoli met Gaetano Savini, a brilliant businessman, with whom he joined forces to launch his own house on Via Barberini, in Rome.

Its name is inspired by an archipelago in the Adriatic, symbol of luxury and prestige: Brijuni. Initially, the brand's logo was a polo player, which was taken over by Ralph Lauren years later, with the house's approval.

Building on the immense success of its pieces, Brioni launched its factory in Penne in the 1960s . Subsequently, Brioni will buy numerous companies in order to diversify its offering, particularly for the processing of leather items, leather goods and sportswear.

In the 1990s, Brioni was the icon of refined and discreet luxury . After dressing the greatest, such as Clark Gable or Gary Cooper, the house became the official tailor of Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig for their roles as James Bond, before being dethroned by Tom Ford.

However, more risky initiatives (women's fashion, logo pieces, etc.) have undermined the rise of the brand which is now in difficulty.
