Anglo-Italian is an English brand. Why “Italian”? You have to look at the origins of the two founders: Jake Grantham is English and Alex Pirounis is Italian (Italian-Greek precisely).
The pieces are more English in spirit but the manufacturing is mostly Italian . The sweaters are knitted in Scotland in particular.
At Anglo-Italian you will find all the key pieces of a quality and discreet tailoring wardrobe : suit, sports jacket and formal pleated pants to wear as separates, shirts, sweaters and vests, etc.
The work on the cuts and details is meticulous: length of jackets or coats, collar height, size and shape of pockets... everything is perfectly proportioned. This is what makes clothes beautiful.
We haven't been able to see any of the brand's products but we don't really have any doubts about the quality of the products : fully canvassed jackets or hand finishing on shirts are details that inspire confidence.
One last point: the brand sells some beautiful fabrics by the meter . Practical if you want to have a tailored suit made by providing the fabric to the tailor yourself.
In summary : Anglo-Italian products are beautiful, of good quality but expensive (more than 1500€ for a coat or a suit). In addition, as it is an English brand, and since Brexit, you may incur additional import costs when ordering directly from their eshop.
If you have the budget to give it a try, you won't be disappointed. Otherwise, the brand is a good source of inspiration for those who appreciate the tailored style.
You can find clothes of this style at lower prices elsewhere: at Natalino for example.
