A wool with real character

We love the winter season. It’s the opportunity to work with thick, dense fabrics full of personality — like this generous 390 g/m² Shetland wool.

This is a carded wool, treated in a rather raw way, leaving shorter fibers and slight irregularities visible in the cloth. Carding creates:

  • Natural loft, which provides excellent thermal insulation,
  • A rustic, richly heathered texture with multiple grey-toned nuances,
  • And a “hairy” appearance, with many fibers rising to the surface, to the point where the weave itself becomes almost invisible.

This woolen fabric is woven in Portugal by Morgado, a family-owned mill with nearly a century of experience, which controls every step of its production thanks to full vertical integration (spinning, weaving, dyeing).

Less structure, more style

The great strength of the Otranto jacket lies in its comfort, made possible by its supple construction. When handling the jacket, you’ll notice that it is completely unstructured—without shoulder padding or a tailored canvas in the chest, as you would find in a traditional blazer. In this spirit, you won’t see any lining in the body of the jacket; only the sleeves are lined with a soft viscose to make it easier to slip on.

As a result, the jacket falls naturally on your shoulders, keeps you warm, and still allows complete freedom of movement.

How to integrate it into your outfits

Elegant thanks to its double-breasted shape and relaxed thanks to its construction, the Otranto jacket is a true Swiss-army-knife piece that can be worn:

With the matching Poetto trousers as a suit, adding a subtle touch of refinement in the heart of the winter city.

Or in a more casual way, paired simply with jeans or chinos and a sweatshirt.
