Domodossola, the Italian company where we sourced this smooth leather, belongs to the second category. When it was founded in 1913, its main activity was producing ropes for ships. In the 1980s, Domodossola developed the first mechanically produced braided belts — until then, they had only been crafted by hand.
Now over a century old, the company remains family-run, with the fourth generation currently at the helm.
