The company was born in 1859 in the Pyrenees . Abel Crabos started from observing the plumage of birds living in high mountains and facing the cold and humid climate. He then chose to exploit the insulating properties of the plumage of these birds .
It was in 1970 that a member of the founding family created the first technical down jacket thanks to the experience of a seasoned mountaineer who became an advisor to the brand. In the 1980s the down jacket moved away from the purely technical side to become a fashionable product .
More recently, it entered the luxury sector by offering high-end products in collaboration with big names in fashion. Alexandre Vauthier, for example, was recruited in 2012 as artistic director of the Premium range.
