The striking beauty of silk
A scarf is never more beautiful than when it’s made of silk.
So soft and comfortable, you can forget it's there against your skin. This precious twill, with its fine diagonal lines, elegantly wraps around your neck and provides warmth when needed, without ever making you overheat.
And what can we say about its beautiful reflections in the light? Often imitated, no synthetic fiber can replicate the natural shine and unique qualities of silk.
Four Colors for our love of clothing
This anniversary scarf is dressed in four colors dear to Benoît, our co-founder.
Blue represents our love for indigo, as it can be found in our pieces since the beginning. Red is a nod to the selvedge seam, often red, characteristic of the finest denim that captures our hearts.
Coyote and foliage green are both classic colors in men’s wardrobes, and they’re also prominent in nature. These two shades resonate particularly with Benoît as they reflect his love for both menswear and outdoor activities.
And because beauty is found in the details, you’ll notice the hand-rolled edges feature a contrasting finish, incorporating all four colors of the scarf.
A rich printing full of symbols
This bandana stands out with its multiple patterns, each carrying its own meaning.
The central one is a traditional sashiko wave pattern, which evokes both Japanese aesthetics and the sea, symbolizing the adventure we’ve shared together over the past decade.
The sides feature another sashiko pattern, a shield, representing strength and resilience in the face of challenges. The interwoven horizontal bars form the letters "T" and "I," a nod to titanium—a metal beloved by Benoît for its lightness and impressive resistance to corrosion.
Finally, in the corners, the dates "2007" marks the launch of the Bonnegueule blog, and "2014" marks the release of our first clothing collection, can be found.
Wearing this scarf is like carrying a piece of Bonnegueule's history. And for a long time, thanks to meticulous French craftsmanship, with hand-rolled edges crafted in an esteemed atelier known for its work with top luxury brands.
