Tweed Donegal 100% wool, woven by Molloy & Sons in Ireland

A speckled wool as rich in character as this will only be seen on your outfits. It was exclusively crafted for us by the 6th generation of the Molloy family, one of the few companies still weaving Donegal in its native region in Ireland.

To ensure these small irregularities set you apart without overdoing it, the Molloy family made sure they were just numerous enough. The fabric was woven on looms over 50 years old, operating four times slower than usual to let each little nep express itself. The result: fibers that weren't stretched during spinning and charming imperfections, which are then carefully managed by the weavers who lay the fabric flat to ensure they are evenly distributed, adjusting them by hand with a needle.

A craftsmanship defended by the family and passed down from generation to generation until it reaches your shoulders, where you'll defend it in turn by wearing the fruit of their labor. And for that, we thank you.

The insulation that will keep you warm for a long time

All it takes is a brief rain shower or a year's worth of wear for most insulations to end up completely flattened. To ensure that your down jacket is as durable as its sturdy wool tweed, we've chosen Climashield Apex, the most high-performing synthetic insulation on the market. You will be able to:

  • Stay calm during light and passing rain (when wearing it with a jacket or overshirt) thanks to the natural water resistance of wool tweed and the AquaBan technology in the insulation, which will keep you just as warm.
  • Wear this vest in both autumn with a sweatshirt and winter with a thick knit, thanks to the natural thermoregulation of the wool and the high performance of the insulation (133g/m2 version here), used by seasoned mountain hikers.
  • Continue enjoying its efficiency even years later, as its continuous filaments will retain their loft and effectively trap warm air.

Combining style and comfort

Its straight cut creates an interesting volume over your outfits, allowing you to move easily and layer multiple pieces underneath. Think a fine turtleneck, a shirt, and an overshirt, for example.
